Speaking about his election bid, Baker said, “I am really excited at this opportunity to be a community leader. It has been a goal of mine to be a candidate for public office, and to see the support I have already received from the community is inspiring.”
Baker is running his campaign on transparency with constituents and a pragmatic approach to local issues.
About his campaign, Baker stated, “I really think the people want a candidate who will tell it to them straight. They want honesty and civility. It’s my goal to live up to these standards on the campaign trail.”
As a first time candidate in a local election, Baker stressed the importance of a grassroots campaign.
He stated, “We’ll be up against a well-funded Democratic opponent. As a result, our campaign will focus on making meaningful connections with constituents.”
