The Evergreen FS, Inc. FAST STOP fuel and convenience store at 1808 Morrissey Drive, Bloomington, is making October a month of giving. Midwest Food Bank of 2031 Warehouse Rd., Normal, will be the recipient of their generosity.
A monetary donation will be given to MFB for every gallon of gas during the month. In addition, “turkey cards” may be purchased at FAST STOP, to support the Thanksgiving meal boxes MFB with give away in partnership with Home Sweet Home Mission this year. The turkey cards contribute directly to this endeavor, which plans to give over 2,500 Thanksgiving meals away to those in need.
To kick off the event, on October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., The FAST STOP will take 19 cents off the price of each gallon of gas and 24 cent off the price off each gallon of diesel. The discount amounts to the cost of a gallon of each type of fuel. The “Tax Roll-Back Kick-Off will include a free lunch.
