Friday morning, BPD began investigating a very concerning report of suspicious activity. It was reported that a female was walking with her dog on Gina Drive, Bloomington, IL, at about 6am (still dark outside), when a black Ford Sedan (possibly a Ford Fusion – pictured) pulled forward and tried talking to her and her dog. The driver was described as a bald white male with an average build.
The female began to walk away. The driver of the black Ford tried to verbally get her to stop but the female continued walking away. The male quickly pulled forward into a driveway where the female was walking. The female became scared, ran away, and started to knock on several residents door. The male backed out of the driveway and drove away.
Note: We also are investigating if there is any connection with other local reported incidents of a similar nature.
This event may have been a harmless, suspicious interaction, however, you can never be too careful!
