Another round of winter precipitation will be possible, beginning in the overnight hours tonight. 1 to 3 inches will be possible in the areas under a Winter Weather Advisory. Though midday tomorrow, snow will continue to spread across the area, bring another 1 to 3 inches. The areas northwest of the Illinois River Valley will likely see the higher snowfall totals. Warm ground temperatures, as well as already wet ground will help to partially melt the falling snow. Accumulations may not last, particularly early on, until the colder air moves in with the back edge of the system.
