A woman is dead following an accident involving a semi-tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle near 3300 East 1300 North Road near Arrowsmith, Illinois.
At 2pm, November 10, 2019 McLean County Coroner’s Office received notification of the two-vehicle accident. At 2:45pm, the coroner pronounced a 42-year-old female occupant and driver of the passenger vehicle dead at the scene.
Ellsworth Fire Department, Gibson Area EMS, Saybrook-Arrowsmith Fire Department, McLean County Sheriff’s Department, and the Illinois State Police were already on scene.
Another male occupant of the passenger vehicle was treated at an area hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled for November 11, 2019. At this time, the name of the decedent is being withheld pending further notification of family.
This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the McLean County Sheriff’s Department.
