Cynthia Baker has been convicted of murdering 8-year-old Rica Rountree.
The jury returned the verdict Tuesday after about five hours of deliberation. Baker was charged with murder, aggravated battery, child endangerment, and domestic battery. She was convicted on all counts.
Baker’s own daughter testified in court that she saw her mom, Baker, kick young Rica in the stomach that left the child with injures that slowly killed her.
