(WMAY) – Lawyers for Governor JB Pritzker’s campaign are asking a judge to dismiss eight plaintiffs from a lawsuit claiming they were subjected to racial discrimination during Pritzker’s run for governor.
Twelve former campaign staffers filed the suit claiming they were only given assignments based on race and were denied opportunities for advancement. Campaign lawyers say eight of the plaintiffs have failed to sit for depositions and so their cases should be thrown out.
They say the other four have only provided incomplete information to back up their case and should be required to provide additional details.
