
It’s another sign that federal investigators are taking a close look at the political activities and relationships of Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan.
The Chicago Tribune reports that four people who have been questioned in an ongoing federal corruption probe say they’ve been asked about Madigan’s dealings with utility giant Commonwealth Edison and about the utility’s connections to numerous Madigan associates.
Madigan himself has not been accused of wrongdoing, but a number of people with ties to him have been served with subpoenas or search warrants
