Former Washington Community High School girls freshman basketball coach, Twenty-three-year-old Hayley Reneau, is in jail for sexual misconduct after pleading guilty to sexual contact with a minor.
Reneau pleaded guilty to criminal sexual abuse of someone more than five years younger than her recently in Tazewell County Court. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail starting January 2, 2020. In addition to jail time, Reneau must serve 2 years probation retroactive to December 20, 2019.
Washington High School said the school was notified after the arrest back in August. In a press release at that time, the school said the crime was related to an inappropriate relationship with a student of the high school.
