Periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected Thursday night into Saturday in central and southeast Illinois. Total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible. The heaviest rainfall is expected Friday night and Saturday morning. A flood watch is in effect for most of central and southeast Illinois, southeast of the Illinois River, from noon Friday until noon Saturday.
