
Another Illinois college is adding esports to its curriculum.
Heartland Community College will now have its own esports team this fall!
The Hawks Esports varsity team will consist of 12 students who will play “League of Legends” in competition with other National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) collegiate programs.
Esports is offered by more than 600 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Heartland Community College is looking to hire a part-time coach for the Hawks Esports program during the spring semester so they can start recruiting esport athletes.
