Snow is expected to move into central Illinois this evening. There will be a couple different periods of accumulating snow: one this evening into Thursday morning, and again Thursday night into Friday morning. Each of these may produce 1-2″ in some areas, with locally higher amounts. During the afternoon hours Thursday and Friday, temperatures should warm enough to switch the precipitation to rain and cause some melting. The main impacts are expected during the morning drive times Thursday and Friday.
