Normal police are investigating gunfire Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex near Heartland Community College.
According to NPD, at around 2 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Trumbull Avenue for a reported gunshot. Officers are trying to locate any suspects or potential victims, but no injuries or property damage were reported in the area.
McLean County Unit 5 briefly locked down Parkside Elementary, Parkside Junior High and Normal Community West High School as a precaution. The lock-down lasted about 8 minutes.
