As part of its plan to have all bus stops in the system ADA compliant by 2024, Connect Transit has developed an interactive map to keep customers informed of improvement progress. The map will display completed, scheduled, and in design bus stop improvements. The interactive map allows anyone to review the current progress that has been made and scheduled bus stop improvements for the next year.
“Customers amenities have always been important to staff and the Board of Trustees and efforts to improve bus stops through Better Bus Stop Campaign have increased over the last 18 months,” said Connect Transit General Manager Isaac Thorne. “The interactive map will provide the riders, residents, and partners with valuable information on our progress and plan moving forward.”
“Improving bus stops is extremely important to us and our customers. The map allows us to be more transparent about our progress in improving bus stop infrastructure,” said Thorne. We believe we will be one of the few, if not only system in the nation with the goal of 100% compliance on ADA bus stops.
