Mike Gilmore, local Home Builder and Realtor for over 40 years has built a 200 square foot tiny house that will be raffled this year with proceeds benefiting two local non-profits: Midwest Food Bank and Spread Truth Ministries. Recognizing the need for simpler living and downsizing trends, Gilmore was challenged to construct a tiny house with key design efficiencies and innovative features. Gilmore has been involved in these two organizations for several years and has witnessed first-hand the impact of these two outstanding organizations. The theme of the raffle is Tiny House, Big Impact. Gilmore’s donation and craftsmanship makes this Big Impact possible.
The tiny house will be on display at the HOMESHOW, 2020 at The Interstate Center on March 6-8. Guests will have an opportunity to tour the tiny house in person. Raffle tickets will go on sale in early May this year with the winning ticket drawn in early September 2020. 2,000 tickets will be available for sale at a price of $75.00 for 1 ticket or $195.00 for 3 tickets.
