The Normal Town Council could approve a water tax hike at their Monday night meeting.
The hike is projected to increase Normal’s revenue by more than $190,000. If the council approves the measure, the per-gallon fee as well as the maintenance fee price would go up by two percent.
Town Councilman Stan Nord urges the council to look internally first, to see if money can be saved somewhere else before hitting up the taxpayers.
