Recreational marijuana sales continued bring in millions in the second month of legal sales in Illinois.
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation reports $34,805,072 in recreational marijuana sales for February. Over 830,000 items were sold in the 29-day period.
Illinois residents spent $25,615,371, while out-of-state buyers picked up the rest at $9,189,701, the IDFPR says.
However, the state did not have the dollar amount of tax dollars collected from these sales.
The February total was about $4.5 million short of January sales of $39,247,840.
