The McLean County Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Council for the Bloomington-Normal Area and the Bloomington-Normal Convention and Visitors Bureau announce the unveiling of a new website BNPrepared.org to serve as a portal addressing the concerns of employers, employees, families, and visitors of McLean County.
“Now more than ever is a time to serve as a resource for our community. Bloomington-Normal and all of McLean County are relying on each other to get through the personal and economic challenges presented by COVID-19” said Nate Hinch, Chairman of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce. “This portal will serve as a resource for our businesses and their employees as we navigate these uncharted waters together.”
“The economic impact of the COVID19 virus remains unknown, but we do know a lot of great organizations are standing ready to assist. This community site is another step in sharing those resources.” Bill Lawrence, Chairman of the Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council.
“We are all in this together and we must do everything we can to provide the support our community needs as we grapple with the economic and social challenges we now face,” said Carlo Robustelli, Chair of the Bloomington-Normal Convention and Visitors Bureau. “This portal will help connect businesses and residents with the most up-to-date information about how the crisis is impacting our local community and ways we can come together to support each other.”
“COVID-19 is affecting every aspect of our community and it requires a comprehensive, coordinated effort to see our families, our friends, our neighbors and our businesses through these difficult times,” said Town of Normal Mayor Chris Koos. “The “BNPrepared” site is a great tool to navigate this pandemic and find information on community resources.”
“This is an all hands-on deck moment for our nation regarding COVID-19. Locally, our communities (Bloomington, Normal and McLean County) are as prepared as we can be to meet the needs of our residents” said City of Bloomington Mayor Teri Renner. “The one thing we do control is the message and the “BNPrepared” site is a tremendous resource for all of us to use until we get to the other side of this pandemic.”
“The McLean County Board and Staff are at the forefront of public health in our community. The BNPrepared.org portal includes links to our County resources along with other local, state, and federal tools,” said McLean County Chairman McIntyre. “We are here to help; we are all in this together. Anything we can do to provide helpful information to our citizens. Please call me directly at 830-7119 for assistance.”
