Hudson, IL, April 14 2020 – Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is setting a May 1 registration deadline for families to register for day camps and overnight camps scheduled to take place in June 2020. If they do not receive enough camper registrations, the camp will be forced to postpone all activities and reassess for July camps.
“We understand there is a lot of uncertainty out there right now,” said Allen McBride, Timber Pointe Outdoor Center Camp Director. “At camp, we press forward and are getting everything ready so once it is safe to open our camp gates, we are ready to go.”
There is no payment due upon registration, and no penalty for canceling up to two weeks prior to the camp date. Families currently receiving other services from Easterseals Central Illinois also receive a 35% discount on registration fees.
Timber Pointe Outdoor Center specializes in providing inclusive and adaptive programming to meet the needs of campers with developmental delays, disabilities and other special needs. This experience empowers campers, creates lifelong memories and provides much needed respite for families who are faced with limited options.
“Our highest priority is, and will always be, the health and safety of our campers and guests.” McBride added. “We will continue to adhere to mandates in place by the CDC, National Government, or State of Illinois, and will cancel sessions based on these guidelines.”
In a recent video posted on the camp’s Facebook page, McBride shared information on policies and procedures as they relate to infectious diseases, such as the coronavirus, can be found in the camper handbook on their website.
