On April 30, 2020 at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Normal Police arrested Adam L. Simmons on multiple Criminal Sexual Assault and Abuse charges in Bloomington.
The charges stem from a sexual assault that occurred March 21, 2020 at an apartment in the 1500 Block of Hovey Avenue in Normal with a juvenile victim known to the offender.
Simmons, 41, from Bloomington was arrested on the following charges and is being held in the McLean County Jail on a $500,000 bond, 10% cash applies.
o Criminal Sexual Assault/Force (3 Counts)
o Criminal Sexual Assault/Family Member – Victim under 18 (3 Counts)
o Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault/Threaten Life (3 Counts)
o Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault/Bodily Harm
o Criminal Sexual Abuse/Force (2 Counts)
o Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse/Threaten Life (2 Counts) o Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse – Victim under 18/Family (3 Counts)
Due to the age of the victim in this case, the Normal Police will not release any additional information concerning this case.
