Mayor Lightfoot is criticizing a church on Chicago’s Northwest Side for holding in-person services.
Metro Praise International Church opened its doors yesterday in what church leaders call passive resistance to Governor Pritzker’s stay-at-home order.
The mayor tweeted this morning that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you’re doing when people gather like this they put themselves and their loved ones in danger.
Meanwhile, there is no word yet whether the city plans to take action against the church.
