The Connect Transit Board of Trustees voted to extend the suspension of fare collection on all transportation services until July 5th, 2020. This includes Connect Transit fixed-route bus service and Connect Mobility paratransit service.
The Connect Transit Board of Trustees also voted to approve the “One Rate for All” Fare Structure which would increase fixed route rates from $1.00 to $1.25 and it would also reduce Connect Mobility fares from $2.00, $3.00, and $4.00 to $1.25. These changes will be put into place once the suspension of fares concludes.
“We are excited to take the Connect to the Future Working Group recommendations and put them into action. It is very clear that the Work Group values Connect Transit service in our community, and we are thankful for all of their hard work.” said Connect Transit General Manager, Isaac Thorne. The customer service area of the Administration building will continue to be closed to the public until July 5th and will coincide with the temporary suspension of fare collection. Our Customer Service Representatives will continue to perform their telephone functions with the public.
