
Governor JB Pritzker says some police officers may not like all of the next steps that he and lawmakers are considering in response to concerns about police violence.
But Pritzker says the events of the last couple of weeks show that something has to change.
Pritzker met in Springfield Tuesday with the teen organizers of a large Black Lives Matter march through the city late last month. Pritzker says he’s willing to consider a number of different proposals… including Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s suggestion that police officers should be licensed by the state.
