The Connect Transit Board of Trustees voted to extend the suspension of fare collection on all transportation services until August 2nd, 2020. This includes Connect Transit fixed-route bus service and Connect Mobility paratransit service.
The customer service area of the Administration building will continue to be closed to the public until it reopens on June 29th. Our Customer Service Representatives will continue to perform their telephone functions with the public. The current limit of 10 passengers per coach will be lifted as Illinois enters the next phase of the “Restore Illinois” plan.
Connect continues to monitor information about COVID-19 from the CDC and the Illinois Public Health Department. We are encouraging people to stay home if you are sick and not travel with Connect Transit unless it is necessary. Please wash your hands regularly and try to distance yourself from others if you are traveling with Connect. Face coverings will be required when riding until further notice. Bus service is still operating, but please continue to check www.connect-transit.com regularly for service updates.
