District 87 Superintendent Barry Reilly has outlined what to expect when school goes online this year:
⦁ Students will be taught by the district’s teachers who will take attendance (not contractors)
⦁ Teachers will grade assignments and provide more rigorous online instruction compared to last spring at the start of the pandemic
⦁ The district is still providing breakfast and lunch for all students with a “grab-and-go” menu
⦁ Orientation week is August 24-28
⦁ The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. for Bloomington High School, and at 9 a.m. for students at elementary schools and Bloomington Junior High.
⦁ Administrators will reevaluate in October whether to continue all online learning
