
The Bloomington Police Department is proud to offer its citizens a way to report certain minor offenses through an online reporting system. The change will allow citizens and officers to have less face-to-face contact during the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to increase the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETING AN ONLINE POLICE REPORT
Before we accept an online police report, ALL of the following conditions must be met:
1. The incident took place within Bloomington, Illinois, city limits.
2. You do not have suspect information.
3. You are 18 years of age or older.
4. You have a valid email address.
5. You do not have photos or documents to attach to your report.
6. Your incident falls into one of these categories of qualified offenses:
• Accidental Damage to Property: Your property or vehicle was unintentionally damaged. You should not use this
form to report vehicle accidents. For vehicle accidents contact 309-820-8888 and request an officer.
• Criminal Damage to Property: An item of yours was intentionally damaged.
• Lost Property: You lost an item and you require a police report for insurance or documentation purposes.
• Informational Report: A report containing non-criminal information that might be beneficial to the police
department in the future.
