As first reported by Cities 92.9, juveniles were fighting inside of the high school, during the fight, the BHS School Resource Officer attempted to break up the fight.
As also first reported by Cities 92.9, the School Resource Ofiicer was later taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was later treated and released.
Arrested was a 15-year-old male, from Bloomington. Arrest was for Aggravated Battery, Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer, and Aggravated Assault. He was taken to the PD for juvenile processing.
Since it’s a juvenile, there is no additional information being released. There are no mugshots or no identifying information.
Superintendent Barry Reilly said a total of eight students were involved in three fights on Monday, and that each faces a “very lengthy suspension.”
Reilly said he will recommend as many as four for expulsion for at least the balance of this year and perhaps even the next school year.
