Today, Scott Preston launched his campaign for state representative in the 91st District, encompassing McLean, Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties, stretching from Bloomington-Normal to the south of Peoria.
“Illinois is a great state with amazing people, yet our state politicians continue to fail us,” stated Preston. “As a lifelong resident and entrepreneur, I run for state representative to bring a fresh perspective and problem-solving mentality to the issues our communities face every day. We must prioritize getting our economy back on track, investing in our educational institutions, and defeating efforts to defund or lessen the powers of law enforcement.”
A Bloomington-Normal native, Scott Preston, 34, was first elected to the Normal Town Council in 2013, becoming the youngest council member in Normal, Illinois history. His commitment to economic growth, keeping taxes low, and promoting policies to ensure a high quality of life led to his re-election in 2017 and 2021. He is the founder and president of Preston Property Group, a real estate investment company. Scott and his wife Ali reside in Normal.
