Tyler Bahan said that he isn’t a politician and he wants to get more young people involved in local government. Bahan currently works for John Deere and has never been involved in politics, but sees the state and county going in a direction he doesn’t want it going in.
“I’ve had an interest in this ever since I turned 18…..You don’t see a lot of young people in local government,” said Bahan. “I wasn’t sure how to go about it. It’s talking to the people you know.”
Bahn’s fiancé Heidi works in the public schools and Bahn said, with seeing and hearing about her experiences, the way that kids are treated…being forced to wear masks…it’s wrong.
“There’s no better time than now,” said Bahan.

On Conservative Cat, Tyler Bahan announces his District 2 County Board run
Bahan is just 30 years old. Bahan said he plans to bring a “strong conservative voice” to the board.
“Being strong on everything conservatives stand for,” said Bahn. “It’s going to be a learning experience, but I think that’s what we have to have. You have career politicians, even on the board who have been on forever. But you are going to have no people that have to learn.”
Bahan said he wants to be involved in representing the people from the District 2 area of the county and the people that are younger in age.
