The Bloomington Ice Center and the Grossinger Motors Arena are excited to host the third annual Central Illinois Girls’ Hockey Association March Meltdown tournament this weekend March 11 th – March 13 th .
Over 260 female athletes and their families from 17 teams that will be coming from Missouri, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana will meet up with Illinois teams at the Grossinger MotorsArena and the Bloomington Ice Center for tournament play this weekend.
“This will be a great experience for athletes,” said Bloomington Ice Center Manager Michael Hernbrott, adding “in addition to the fundraising and tourney play Ellen J. Tully the owner and CEO of the Vermilion County Bobcats Hockey of the Southern Professional Hockey League has donated her time to speak on Women in Sports to the athletes.
