Normal PD is currently investigating a fatal accident which occurred on North Main Street near Kerrick Road.
According to the NPD Facebook page, at 4:46pm on Saturday, Normal PD responded to a single vehicle accident involving a sole occupant. Upon arrival the victim was located and later pronounced deceased by the McLean County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing. An accident reconstruction team is currently on scene and North Main Street may be closed to through traffic for a few hours.
The Normal Police Department and the McLean County Coroner’s Office will provide more information after notification of family and autopsy is completed.
