The Bloomington Fire Department was dispatched to 905 W Olive St just before 10pm for the report of a house fire.
Neighbors reported smoke conditions from the rear of a three-story house. Due to the conditions found, Engine 1 ordered a box alarm be transmitted. Medic 7 and Truck 4 made an interior attack. The box alarm brought Truck 4, Engine 1, Truck 1, Truck 2, Medic 7, Medic 2, EMS 1, Battalion 1 and Normal Engine 10 and Battalion 10.
The fire was quickly located in the stairwell and the second floor. The fire extended into a wall space and spread to the second floor. The fire was brought under control at 10:16pm
Companies were clear of the scene shortly before midnight.
The house was not being occupied at the time of the fire. No civilians or firefighters were injured. No one was displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
