State Farm Youth Classic Golf Tournament

The 21^st edition of the State Farm Youth Classic (SFYC) will occur June 25-27 at six Bloomington-Normal courses.  The event will include 370 junior golfers competing in 16 divisions, including boys and girls ages 3-22.

The SFYC is again sanctioned by the American Junior Golfing Association (AJGA) and recognized by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and Global Junior Golf Rankings. The SFYC has also won the “Outstanding Locally Created Event” award by the Sports Events and Tourism Association. The State Farm Youth Classic is owned and operated by the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission, a division of the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The State Farm Youth Classic includes 16 divisions for boys and girls, and a Skills Challenge, which includes long drive, chipping, and putting competitions. Awards are given to golfers in each division for the tournament and the Skills Challenge. The Classic has teamed again with the Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championship in Quincy to crown a Grand Champion in the 6B, 6G, 7B, and 7G divisions based on overall score between the two tournaments.  Also, all participants will receive a SFYC branded golf towel, string bag, and water bottle.

The 2023 field includes representation from IL, AR, FL, IA, IN, MI, MO, MS, NC, TN, TX, WI, Canada, and South Africa.  Past tournaments have attracted players from 29 states and 14 countries.  The local economic impact of this year’s tournament is expected to be approximately $118,400.
