Today, Aug. 9, at about 11 am Normal Police asked the public to avoid the 1700 block of Linda Ln, upon inquiry, the NPD say it was a mental health issue and that the police have cleared the area. There is no threat to public safety.
Originally NPD was concerned it was a shots fired situation.
Resume normal traffic.
