The man accused of shooting his father-in-law to death and wounding his son remains has been found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The DeWitt County Sheriff Office says the suspect has been identified as Jose De Jesus Gomez Munoz.
Macon County Coroner Michael Day said in a statement Muñoz’s body was found Monday in a vehicle parked on a gravel lane that surrounds a wind turbine off of the 15000 block of Sebright Road. Day pronounced him dead at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday; his body was then transferred to the McLean County Coroner’s morgue in Bloomington, with an autopsy set for Wednesday.
