Cities 92.9 has obtained exclusive information about the ADM explosion that has, at least, injured 8 employees.
From a former employee we have learned that there’s possibly one dead from the massive explosion that took place Sunday evening. Two people were possibly airlifted and today, Sept. 12, social media posts suggest these two people possibly could have died. Cities 92.9 is awaiting confirmation from officials. We are also waiting for the investigation to conclude on how the explosion happened. Our source tells us it was from a hexane tank leak.
Hexane is commonly known to be a cleaning agent (degreaser). But it’s possible the East plant in Decatur, that exploded, was using the hexane to extract edible oils from seeds and vegetables, like soy and corn.

The EPA says high levels of hexane, when exposed to humans, can cause mild nervous system effects, including dizziness, giddiness, slight nausea, and headache.
Chronic (longterm) exposure to hexane in air is associated with polyneuropathy in humans, with numbness in the extremities, muscular weakness, blurred vision, headache, and fatigue observed. Neurotoxic effects have also been exhibited in rats.

Radio show host Jason Rantz discusses the alarming number of recent industrial accidents on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ in April of 2022.
“Accidents happen, but when you have well over a dozen food processing plants and warehouses getting destroyed or seriously damaged in just that last few weeks,” said Rantz. “You’ve got some people speculating that this might be an intentional way to disrupt the food supply.”
Rantz is correct:
