The City of Bloomington welcomes Ed Andrews as the new director of the Water Department. With an impressive 30-year career in engineering, Andrews brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the planning, design, and construction of highway, water, and sewer systems, as well as site development projects for federal, state, and municipal agencies.
Andrews most recently worked for Infrastructure Engineering as the Peoria Operations Manager, and before that had a distinguished career serving as a city engineer, county engineer and a resident engineer for IDOT. His proven leadership and dedication to advancing the water and sewer systems align seamlessly with the City’s commitment to providing top-notch services to our residents.
Throughout his career, Andrews has garnered a reputation for his innovative solutions and effective project management. His vast experience in working with both public and private sector clients has honed his ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver results that meet the needs of diverse communities. This experience will be instrumental as the city continues to develop and maintain its water and sewer systems to support our growing population.

Andrews officially assumed the Director role on Monday, September 18, 2023. The City looks forward to his leadership and the positive impact he will undoubtedly bring to the community.
