Bloomington police officers were dispatched to Carle BroMenn Medical Center on Friday just before midnight, for a report of a person who had been shot.
The victim, a 21-year-old male, was driven to the hospital in a personal vehicle after suffering a gunshot wound to his back. The gunshot came from within the same vehicle the victim occupied as it traveled through Bloomington.
An investigation by patrol officers ensued and led to the arrest of two suspects.

Cierra M. Sibley, female, 19, of Champaign
• Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
• Reckless Conduct with Great Bodily Harm
• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
ARRESTED:
Destiyon A. Anderson, male, 19, of Bloomington
• Two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Chief Jamal Simington stated, “Thankfully, this incident did not have a more severe outcome for the victim, and we hope he has a quick recovery. We encourage the community to utilize our anonymous tip line to report subjects unlawfully possessing firearms and those who are using firearms for illicit purposes.”
