The McLean County Sheriff’s office is calling at “an apparent suicide.”
Officers were conducting a security check when they found Joshua D. Livingston, 41, unresponsive in his cell at approximately 9:33 p.m. Thursday, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Livingston was awaiting trial for the murder 39-year-old Melissa S. Ostrom when was he found dead inside his cell at the McLean County Detention Facility.
The Illinois State Police is handling the investigation.
