The mass transit company that provides transportation in Bloomington-Normal said most of their electric buses will remain sidelined after their parts supplier went bankrupt last year.
Connect Transit owns 12 electric buses, but only two are running routes as the remainder wait for repairs.
In the meantime, there is a reduced route schedule and some of the broken down electric buses have been replaced with diesel-powered buses.
