The Normal Fire Department responded to a fire Monday afternoon at 1pm on a semitrailer at the Rivian Automotive plant on the loading dock on the south end of the plant.
The trailer was not attached to a truck and could not be pulled away from the building.
One semitrailer was destroyed, another sustained heat damage and there was moderate heat and smoke damage to the exterior of the building above the dock area. No injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation.
