Bloomington Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Ameren Illinois, is set to present “Weathering the Storm: A Storm Preparedness Guide to Keeping You Safe This Season” on Thursday, August 29, at 10:00 AM. The event, held at the Miller Park Adult Center, aims to equip community members with essential knowledge for navigating severe weather conditions.
The seminar will be led by Abby Helm, Community Relations Executive at Ameren Illinois, who will offer crucial insights on how to prepare, plan, and stay safe during storms. This initiative is designed to enhance public awareness about weather safety and emergency preparedness.

Severe storms can affect anyone at any time, and we’re just excited to offer this crucial information to the community at no cost.”
