Bloomington Parks & Recreation is excited to launch the “Great Pumpkin Hunt” contest throughout October. The event begins on Oct. 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM, when the first clues will be posted on the department’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/cityblmBPARD).
Participants will have until Oct. 10 at 9:00 AM to decipher the clue and visit the designated park. Families can take a photo with the “Great Pumpkin Hunt” sign at the park and post it on the Facebook event page.
“This is a fantastic way for the community to enjoy the beauty of Bloomington Parks during the fall,” said Nicole Culbertson, Aquatics/Youth Sports Program Manager. Weekly clues will continue to be released on Oct. 11, 18, and 25, with a total of 13 clues available. Each household can submit one entry per park, allowing for a maximum of 13 entries.
Winners will be drawn on Oct. 31 and notified via Facebook Messenger. Prizes include three themed baskets with items such as family admission packs to local attractions and Bloomington Parks merchandise.
