Illinois State University President Aondover Tarhule and Normal Mayor Chris Koos will kick off ISU Homecoming 2024 with the annual tree-lighting ceremony on Monday, Sept. 23 in Uptown Circle.
Uptown Circle, Constitution Boulevard and a portion of North Street will be closed from approximately 4-8 p.m. Monday for this event.
Preceding the dignitaries’ 7 p.m. remarks and ceremonial lighting of the trees, expanded festivities this year include games, giveaways and entertainment along North Street and Uptown Circle beginning at 6 p.m.
