McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathleen Yoder is releasing the following information regarding the homicide victim from a shooting which occurred on September 29, 2024.
Pronounced deceased was Randall E. Glass, age 18, of Oak Lawn, IL. An autopsy was conducted with the cause of death determined to be multiple gun-shot wounds.
A second 18-year-old male was also struck by gunfire during this incident. This male is in critical condition.
This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office, Illinois State Police and the Normal Police Department.

ORIGINAL STORY:
A shooting early Sunday morning has left one individual dead and another in critical condition following an incident that unfolded near a large party in the 300 block of N. Main St.
At approximately 3:42 AM, officers from the Normal Police Department were dispersing a gathering in the area when they heard multiple gunshots. Responding swiftly, officers moved to the nearby 300 block of North University, where they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders provided immediate medical assistance until personnel from the Normal Fire Department arrived. Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where one was later pronounced dead. The condition of the second victim remains critical.
Authorities secured the area and have begun gathering evidence related to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have indicated that more information will be released as it becomes available.
