The City of Bloomington is excited to announce that the annual Thanksgiving Farmers’ Market will take place at the Bloomington Center of the Performing Arts (BCPA) on Saturday, November 23, 2024. This move to the BCPA comes as Bloomington welcomes the Bloomington Bison Hockey games to the Grossinger Motors Arena, marking a new era of sports entertainment for the city.
The Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) and will feature a full lineup of vendors including current favorites and some new additions for the 2024-2025 Indoor Farmers’ Market Season. The Market will transition back to the Grossinger Motors Arena on December 21st for the Holiday Market and continue the Indoor Season there through April 19, 2025.
City of Bloomington staff will also be on-site to provide Link-Match services to market customers, a program made possible through grant funding by Experimental Station. These Link-Match Vouchers can be redeemed for fresh produce only at any Link-Match participating farmers’ markets in the state of Illinois.
Indoor Farmers’ Market Season will occur on November 23, December 21, January 18, February 15, March 15, and April 18. The Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market is free to attend, and patrons are encouraged to explore Downtown Bloomington during and after the market.
