Andy Ziebarth from Hudson has announced his intention to seek the vacant county board seat in district 1. Ziebarth, a lifelong resident of Hudson, is employed at State Farm as a Director of Workplace Protection. He currently lives on his family’s fourth generation farm where he helps his brother Arin Ziebarth as time allows. Andy graduated from Normal Community High School and Illinois State University where he received a degree in Criminal Justice. While at ISU he was a four year starter on the football team at left tackle. Playing on the offensive line he garnered all conference and all American honors. His son Max currently plays tight end for ISU. Ziebarth and Jill, his wife of 27 years, have two sons, Max 21 and Alex 23.
Ziebarth holds the CPCU (Charter, Property, Casualty, Underwriting) designation from The Institutes. He has previously served on the Hudson Township board and as a Hudson Township Water trustee.
In announcing his intent Ziebarth said “McLean County has been so good to me and is such a great place to grow up and raise a family that I want to give back to the community. This is the only home I’ve ever known, it would be an honor to serve those that have made it such a great place.”
