From the Brady Campaign:
The announcement of a federal pause on grant disbursements highlights the critical need for proactive leadership with strong regional ties and the vision to advocate for Bloomington’s priorities during uncertain times. A federal judge has temporarily blocked that freeze, providing a brief window for local leadership. In response, Dan Brady, candidate for Mayor of Bloomington, released the following statement:
“As your mayor, I will ensure that Bloomington is not sidelined during these moments. I will work closely with state and federal leaders to advocate for the resources we deserve, while ensuring we have a plan to support critical projects and programs during any disruptions. Our community thrives when we act decisively together, and I will always prioritize Bloomington’s voice at the table to protect and advance our local interests.
I’ve been actively meeting with local social service providers and engaging with state and regional leaders to ensure Bloomington’s voice is heard during these uncertain times. This is not the moment to stand idly by—it is a moment for action, advocacy, and leadership.
Now is the time for decisive leadership—leadership that prioritizes Bloomington. Together, we will ensure that our community is never left behind.”
