With over five inches of snow expected on Wednesday, Bloomington officials have announced a citywide parking ban beginning at 10:00 a.m. on February 12, 2025. The ban aims to keep streets clear for snowplows and emergency vehicles.
Residents are urged to move their vehicles off city streets to avoid potential towing or fines. Free parking will be available at all City parking garages starting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with normal operations resuming Thursday morning. Designated parking lots at City parks will also be open for use during the ban.
“We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping our streets clear and safe for travel,” said Public Works Director Mose Rickey. “Moving vehicles off the roads allows our crews to clear snow more efficiently.”
