The Town of Normal has issued a snow parking ban effective 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, through 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. During this time, no vehicles may be parked on any streets to allow snowplows to clear roadways efficiently.
Residents must move their vehicles to driveways, garages, or parking lots. Those without off-street parking may use designated lots at town parks, including Anderson, Fairview, and Underwood, free of charge.
Police may ticket vehicles left on the street during the ban. Drivers are also urged to keep a safe distance—at least 100 feet—behind snowplows and salt trucks for safety.
